The year of 2017 gave us a lot to be happy about-in terms of music that is. For weddings especially, music is one of the most important elements. Whether it be music played during the ceremony, cocktail hour, or (for when the real fun begins) dancing at the reception.

2017 has given us so many great songs to dance along to that come from almost every genre. Here are some of our picks for the best dance songs of 2017!

10. J Balvin- "Mi Gente"

While this song is relatively unknown among mass music mediums, people love to dance to this song by J Balvin. J is quite popular in South America and Mexico, and his songs are popular when people need to get up and get dancing!

9. Rihanna- "Work"

If you are looking for a song to get you and your friends up and dancing, this would be the one. Rihanna gets to work as this techno-dancy beat will surely get all ages up and dancing along!

8. Coldplay- "Something Just Like This"

While this song does start out a bit slow, the beat drops and it turns purely into a dance song! This Coldplay hit will get you up and moving around as it has three minutes of pure enjoyment!

7. Nikki Minaj- "Rake It Up"

 

While this may be a club/rap song, it is easily one of the most popular dance songs that came out in 2017. If you're looking for something to get you and your friends to stay on the dance floor, this one is certainly it.

This DJ Khaled song has arguably one of the most popular lists of pop stars in a song from 2017. WIth Bieber, Quavo, Chance, and Lil Wayne, it surely has the stars to make the song fun and can definitely get you up and moving around.

"Closer" is one of those songs that can be used as a first dance and a party song. It is singable, fun, and simply a memorable song.

4. Cardi B- "Bodak Yellow"

As another rap hit, "Bodak Yellow" goes hard and is solely a dance song to get people up and dancing to the hard beat. Not only is it a fun and energetic song, but it will liven up any party.

They were very thorough in making sure our day looked how we wanted it to. On the actual wedding day, they kept our reception lively and on time! They were able to read the crowd well and with our recommendations in mind. I was so worried our wedding would have an empty dancefloor considering the big age range and being hard to appeal to lots of generations, but th did so seamlessly. After a lot of shopping around during wedding planning, I believe the price of their services is of good value. As an add-on, I also opted to do uplighting. This was battery powered and had dynamic color-changing. The battery powered part is important for older venues that may not have as many outlets, and also avoids the trip hazard of too many wires on the floor. All and all 10/10 experience. Thank you!

We cannot recommend SPE enough!!! From the planning to the actual day of the wedding the  team were so professional and wonderful. We did our engagement photos and our wedding day photos with Cufflink Media and they did a great job with taking her time to understand what we wanted as a couple for the photos. All the photographers and videographers for the day of the wedding were great with communicating throughout the whole day both with eachother and us. The djs had the dance floor rocking all night!!! He knew how to get everyone out there of all ages. The price for what we got was very reasonable. I would 100% recommend this company to anyone getting married you will not be disappointed! Do you offer Photo & Video?

Absolutely! While our DJs are pretty talented, we’ve learned it’s probably best if they stick to mixing music instead of trying to balance a camera while running the dance floor. 😅

For photo & video, we proudly partner with Cufflink Media — an incredible team that shares the same energy, professionalism, and attention to detail that we’re known for. Together, we help create a seamless wedding experience so your biggest moments not only feel unforgettable in the moment, but look incredible for years to come.

Do you work with other vendors?

Yes! While we have partnerships with Cufflink Media, we do not require you use them exclusively. You can always book us independently and we’ll ensure that all vendors are on the same page throughout the entire planning process and evening.

How do I secure my date?

We ask that when you are ready to book, you give us a signed contract and a $800 deposit. The initial deposit comes off the final balance. After that, you are locked in to your date. Payment plans are available, but we do not require the final balance until a week before your wedding.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. All prices you see include tax, set-up & tear-down, and travel to most places. When paying with credit card there is a 3.8% convenience fee. No fees when paying by check or cash.
