PhewThe October 25 Today’s Gride show is over. Sound Precision Entertainment had an exciting day meeting a ton of brides, and we can’t wait to help you plan your wedding!

Now that the show is over, you’re probably more than a little overwhelmed. Most likely, you have a plethora of photos, piles of brochures and an inbox full of emails. So how do you sort it all out?

Follow our post-show tips to ensure you get the most from the shows:

TOUR the exhibits virtually.

If you missed some of the exhibits, or just want to review, sign up for access to the virtual show. There is no cost, and once you sign up, you will receive a link.

ORGANIZE your top picks.

Most couples choose the ceremony and reception locations first as their availability often affects the rest of the wedding. Then you can move on to DJs, photographers, videographers, bakers and other vendors. Decide which vendors to contact, and write down any specific questions you have for each one beforehand. Be sure to mention any ideas you have from the pictures or brochures you received at the show. File your second-string choices away for now. You don’t want to toss them just in case your favorite vendors are unavailable or do not meet your needs.

BEGIN making appointments

You should set appointments with the vendors you are most serious about right away. While many vendors offer deals that are valid only at the bridal show, some will extend those deals beyond the show. When booking your appointments, be sure to mention that you met them at the bridal show, and ask if these deals are still available. The closer to the show you make your appointment, the better chance of receiving the deal! Also ask if vendors are willing to meet virtually to protect yourselves from unnecessary contact during COVID-19.

DON’T forget to check your email.

If you provided your email address to vendors, your inbox is probably filling up. Hopefully you created a special email just for wedding-related correspondence! If you didn’t, don’t worry. You can create a separate address now and forward the emails. That will make it much easier (and less overwhelming!) to sort through wedding and non-wedding messages.

USE your freebies.

All registered brides receive a free tote bag that includes an issue of Today’s Bride magazine, a gift card for a free custom print or personalized gift from Symbolizeit.com and a gift card for a free set of wedding bands from JVL Jewelry. These are great deals so don’t forget to use them! Also look through the materials you received from vendors. Take advantage of any freebies here, such as consultations, products and swag.

Do I get to meet my DJ?

Of Course! This is your big day, we want you to be comfortable and able to build a rapport with your DJ. We encourage open communication between us and our clients. We can set-up face to face meetings, video calls, and teleconferences.

How do I secure my date?

We ask that when you are ready to book, you give us a signed contract and a $800 deposit. The initial deposit comes off the final balance. After that, you are locked in to your date. Payment plans are available, but we do not require the final balance until a week before your wedding.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. All prices you see include tax, set-up & tear-down, and travel to most places. When paying with credit card there is a 3.8% convenience fee. No fees when paying by check or cash.

Do you work with other vendors?

Yes! While we have partnerships with vendors, we do not require you use them exclusively. You can always book us independently and we’ll ensure that all vendors are on the same page throughout the entire planning process and evening.
