The Today's Bride Show in Akron is one of Sound Precision Entertainment's favorite events. In one convenient location, you can explore everything bridal, from gowns to caterers, decor and, of course, DJs. Visit SPE, along with more than 120 of the hottest Northeast Ohio vendors, for wedding advice, price quotes, discounts and giveaways. You can even book your favorite vendors on the spot! Don't miss out on this jam-packed event, which takes place Sunday, Jan. 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the John S. Knight Center.

Here's what you need to know to make the most of this must-see show:

Admission
General admission is $15, but stop by SPE before the show to score free tickets! Children ages 6 and younger are free.

What to Expect

Fashion shows: The Today's Bride Show showcases the latest wedding fashions for brides, grooms, bridesmaids, groomsmen, mothers of the bride, mothers of the groom, flower girls and ring bearers. The fashion shows feature several local bridal shops, tuxedo companies and florists that will highlight the latest in bridal fashion. Shows last approximately 40 minutes and have general admission seating (although you can reserve front-row seats through the Very Important Bride package). Located on the upper level, the shows take place at noon and 2 p.m.
Pop-up bridal boutique: Lavender Bridal Salon, located in Dover, Ohio, will host a pop-up bridal boutique where you can try on and purchase designer gowns! The shop's stylists will be on hand to help, and all gowns are $600 or less!
Live cake decorating: Acme Fresh Market's expert cake decorator will create a fantastic wedding cake on site while discussing the latest cake trends in the cake gallery from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.! While you're there, don't forget to vote for your favorite wedding cake design! Local bakeries will have their latest works on display all day!
Beauty bar: Experiment with your wedding day hairstyle and make-up application at the beauty bar with Carol Martin salonSpa! Make sure to stop by at 3 p.m. to learn how to create an effortless wedding-day top knot!
Gown gallery: View the latest bridal gowns from a variety of bridal shops!
Reception table displays: Receive inspiration for your reception decor from these fully decorated tables that feature centerpieces, china, chairs and linens. You can also vote for your favorite table!
Limousine row: Check out both the inside and outside of a variety of wedding transportation options. Yes, the vehicles are inside the convention center!
Merch store: New this year is the Today's Bride merchandise store for all of your bachelorette and wedding needs! Check out sashes, tumblers, T-shirts, tattoos, bags and the popular Bachelorette Party in a Box!
Wedding show specials: Many of the Today's Bride vendors (including SPE!) offer special discounts you can't get anywhere else!
Freebies: All registered brides receive a free tote bag and issue of Today's Bride Magazine! Don't forget to check out the freebies offered by the vendors, as well!

They were very thorough in making sure our day looked how we wanted it to. On the actual wedding day, they kept our reception lively and on time! They were able to read the crowd well and with our recommendations in mind. I was so worried our wedding would have an empty dancefloor considering the big age range and being hard to appeal to lots of generations, but th did so seamlessly. After a lot of shopping around during wedding planning, I believe the price of their services is of good value. As an add-on, I also opted to do uplighting. This was battery powered and had dynamic color-changing. The battery powered part is important for older venues that may not have as many outlets, and also avoids the trip hazard of too many wires on the floor. All and all 10/10 experience. Thank you!

We cannot recommend SPE enough!!! From the planning to the actual day of the wedding the team were so professional and wonderful. We did our engagement photos and our wedding day photos with Cufflink Media and they did a great job with taking her time to understand what we wanted as a couple for the photos. All the photographers and videographers for the day of the wedding were great with communicating throughout the whole day both with eachother and us. The djs had the dance floor rocking all night!!! Do you offer Photo & Video?

Absolutely! While our DJs are pretty talented, we’ve learned it’s probably best if they stick to mixing music instead of trying to balance a camera while running the dance floor. 😅

For photo & video, we proudly partner with Cufflink Media — an incredible team that shares the same energy, professionalism, and attention to detail that we’re known for. Together, we help create a seamless wedding experience so your biggest moments not only feel unforgettable in the moment, but look incredible for years to come.

Do you work with other vendors?

Yes! While we have partnerships with Cufflink Media, we do not require you use them exclusively. You can always book us independently and we’ll ensure that all vendors are on the same page throughout the entire planning process and evening.

How do I secure my date?

We ask that when you are ready to book, you give us a signed contract and a $800 deposit. The initial deposit comes off the final balance. After that, you are locked in to your date. Payment plans are available, but we do not require the final balance until a week before your wedding.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. All prices you see include tax, set-up & tear-down, and travel to most places. When paying with credit card there is a 3.8% convenience fee. No fees when paying by check or cash.
