Found in 1988, Great Lakes Brewing Company in Cleveland’s Ohio City neighborhood has been a gathering place to enjoy hand-crafted beers and delicious, locally sourced food.
But aside from its brewhouse and restaurant, the brewery features several spaces to host the perfect wedding.
The Tasting Room, for example, can accommodate 150 seated guests or 200 standing. Located on the upper floor of the brewery, this room features an antique bar, vintage beer memorabilia and original brick from the building’s previous life as the Leonard Schlather Brewing Co. stables, according to the Great Lakes Brewing Company website. Guests can view the production brewhouse through the Tasting Room’s windows and observe the brewers at work.
The Rockefeller Room, on the other hand, can accommodate 36 seated guests and 50 standing. Located above the brewpub and named after John D. Rockefeller, this room features a beer barrel wall, vintage style lighting and beer memorabilia and furniture made from reclaimed Cleveland wood, as well as its own full bar, the website says.
Finally, the Beer Cellar, which can accommodate 20 guests seated and 50 standing, is located on the lower level of the brewpub. This space features its own bar and includes upcycled keg hanging lights, original stone floors and close-up views of the fermentation tanks and small-batch barrel aging room, according to the GLBC website.
All GLBC receptions receive an onsite venue coordinator to oversee food and beverage service along with logistics, all staffing, and setup and teardown of all GLBC equipment, according to the GLBC website. The menu selection accompanies complimentary table linens and linen napkins, glassware, flatware, china, bar wash, bar service and water service.
Conveniently located near Cleveland’s downtown and west side suburbs, GLBC is an ideal location for both beer and history lovers. For more information, 2516 Market Ave., Cleveland, OH 44113, call (216) 771-4404.
