The Lake Erie Building, along with Templar Industrial Park, is located in Lakewood’s historic Birdtown Neighborhood at the corner of Halstead and Athens avenues.
Also known as the Screw Factory, this nearly 100-year-old building is part of a large, 18-acre complex originally used to manufacture Templar Motor Cars. It now houses factories, warehouses, offices, a winery, event space and studios for art, craft, fitness and dance. In fact, it it home to the well-known artist collective Screw Factory Artists.
Within the Lake Erie Building is a large, industrial space used for wedding receptions, ceremonies, and showers, as well as corporate meetings and events. This loft space, known as the Lake Erie Room, can accommodate up to 450 guests and features 14-foot ceilings and tall windows. Additionally, because the space is very neutral, you can personalize it with decor to create your ideal look.
The Lake Erie Room includes table setup (folding round, rectangular and cocktail tables), chairs (industrial folding chairs or natural wood Chiavari chairs), basic polyester floor-length tablecloths, basic polyester napkins and ice. You can choose your own caterer and bring your own alcohol. The Lake Erie Building also provides staff and security to direct guests and assist vendors, as well as an on-site day-of coordinator. You also receive up to two in-person logistical planning sessions, as well as access to floor planning software and planning worksheets. You can access the room Wednesday through Monday, providing ample time for setup and teardown. There is Wi-Fi.
You can tour the Lake Erie Building by appointment Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Email Hannah@LakeErieBuilding.com or call 216-308-3265 to make an appointment or request further information.
