Getting ready with your groomsmen is a fun tradition that allows you some much-needed dude time before the wedding. While you straighten those bow ties, you'll need the perfect playlist to rock out to. Here, we recommend our top 5 songs to play while getting ready with your boys.

 

1. “Thunderstruck” – AC/DC

Warning: Do not attempt the drinking game associated with this song if you want both yourself and your groomsmen to be sober for the wedding! However, you can relive your glory days by listening to this this lead single from the 1990 album "The Razors Edge" by Australian Rock Band AC/DC. 

 

2. “Are You Gonna Be My Girl” – Jet

Hopefully, by now, you already know she's going to be your girl! However, this song by yet another Australian rock band, Jet, and featured on its 2003 album "Get Born," is fun to play (and air guitar to) while donning tuxes with your groomsmen!  

 

3. “Fat Bottomed Girls” – Queen

Fat Bottomed Girls really do make the rockin' world go round! This song, written by Guitarist Brian May for British Rock Band Queen, was featured on the 1978 album "Jazz." Bro out to this guy-favorite to pump yourself up before the ceremony!

 

4. “Hypnotize” – The Notorious B.I.G.

We had to include a class hip-hop song on our playlist! "Hypnotize," by American rapper The Notorious B.I.G., was the last song released before Biggie's death in a drive-by shooting in 1997 and the the fifth song by a credited artist to hit number one posthumously. This tune is perfect for sipping a cocktail to get rid of those prewedding jitters! 

 

5. “Get Lucky” – Daft Punk

Today is your lucky day, and, hey, we'll say it, you're also probably going to get lucky. This song by French Electronic Music Duo Daft Punk is a house-inspired disco, funk and pop track. The lyrics, according to collaborator Pharrell Williams, are about the good fortune of connecting with someone, as well as sexual chemistry. Sounds like a perfect wedding jam to us!

They were very thorough in making sure our day looked how we wanted it to. On the actual wedding day, they kept our reception lively and on time! They were able to read the crowd well and with our recommendations in mind. I was so worried our wedding would have an empty dancefloor considering the big age range and being hard to appeal to lots of generations, but th did so seamlessly. After a lot of shopping around during wedding planning, I believe the price of their services is of good value. As an add-on, I also opted to do uplighting. This was battery powered and had dynamic color-changing. The battery powered part is important for older venues that may not have as many outlets, and also avoids the trip hazard of too many wires on the floor. All and all 10/10 experience. Thank you!

We cannot recommend SPE enough!!! From the planning to the actual day of the wedding the  team were so professional and wonderful. We did our engagement photos and our wedding day photos with Cufflink Media and they did a great job with taking her time to understand what we wanted as a couple for the photos. All the photographers and videographers for the day of the wedding were great with communicating throughout the whole day both with eachother and us. The djs had the dance floor rocking all night!!! He knew how to get everyone out there of all ages. The price for what we got was very reasonable. I would 100% recommend this company to anyone getting married you will not be disappointed! Do you offer Photo & Video?

Absolutely! While our DJs are pretty talented, we’ve learned it’s probably best if they stick to mixing music instead of trying to balance a camera while running the dance floor. 😅

For photo & video, we proudly partner with Cufflink Media — an incredible team that shares the same energy, professionalism, and attention to detail that we’re known for. Together, we help create a seamless wedding experience so your biggest moments not only feel unforgettable in the moment, but look incredible for years to come.

Do you work with other vendors?

Yes! While we have partnerships with Cufflink Media, we do not require you use them exclusively. You can always book us independently and we’ll ensure that all vendors are on the same page throughout the entire planning process and evening.

How do I secure my date?

We ask that when you are ready to book, you give us a signed contract and a $800 deposit. The initial deposit comes off the final balance. After that, you are locked in to your date. Payment plans are available, but we do not require the final balance until a week before your wedding.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. All prices you see include tax, set-up & tear-down, and travel to most places. When paying with credit card there is a 3.8% convenience fee. No fees when paying by check or cash.
