Rustic wedding venues have become more popular in the last few years as more outdoorsy couples seek a venue that reflects their interests and values.

Even if you’re not the most avid hiker or bird-watcher, rustic venues often offer picturesque scenery that is perfect for photo opportunities. Additionally, you can keep the décor simple with wood accents and natural Earth tones.

Happy Days Lodge – Located about 30 minutes from both Cleveland and Akron in Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Happy Days Lodge is a former youth camp and National Park Visitor Center turned special events venue that is perfect for a rustic, outdoor wedding. The property features picturesque views of the surrounding woods, flora, rock and hiking trails.
Barn at Wolf Creek – The Barn at Wolf Creek is an authentic 1870s barn in Copley that is located on a five-acre park-like property that features convenient, on-site parking, as well as a picturesque cocktail party and “first look” photo sites, yard game space and a fire pit. There is also a local art gallery inside the nearby carriage house.
Mapleside Farms – You may know Mapleside Farms as a location for hayrides and apple picking, but it is also a beautiful wedding venue. The 122-acre fully functioning apple orchard has many different locations for the perfect rustic backdrop.
Hale Farm & Village – Hale Farm & Village is located on 90 acres in the Cuyahoga Valley with historic structures, farm animals, heritage gardens and more. Host an indoor wedding in the little white chapel with a reception in their two-story historic barn!
Orchard Hills Center – Associated with Patterson Fruit Farm, Orchard Hills is home to the Buckeye Conference Room, which can seat up to 40 indoor guests, and an apple orchard with tent space for up to 500.

They were very thorough in making sure our day looked how we wanted it to. On the actual wedding day, they kept our reception lively and on time! They were able to read the crowd well and with our recommendations in mind. I was so worried our wedding would have an empty dancefloor considering the big age range and being hard to appeal to lots of generations, but th did so seamlessly. After a lot of shopping around during wedding planning, I believe the price of their services is of good value. As an add-on, I also opted to do uplighting. This was battery powered and had dynamic color-changing. The battery powered part is important for older venues that may not have as many outlets, and also avoids the trip hazard of too many wires on the floor. All and all 10/10 experience. Thank you!

We cannot recommend SPE enough!!! From the planning to the actual day of the wedding the team were so professional and wonderful. We did our engagement photos and our wedding day photos with Cufflink Media and they did a great job with taking her time to understand what we wanted as a couple for the photos. All the photographers and videographers for the day of the wedding were great with communicating throughout the whole day both with eachother and us. The djs had the dance floor rocking all night!!! He knew how to get everyone out there of all ages. The price for what we got was very reasonable. I would 100% recommend this company to anyone getting married you will not be disappointed! Do you offer Photo & Video?

Absolutely! While our DJs are pretty talented, we’ve learned it’s probably best if they stick to mixing music instead of trying to balance a camera while running the dance floor. 😅

For photo & video, we proudly partner with Cufflink Media — an incredible team that shares the same energy, professionalism, and attention to detail that we’re known for. Together, we help create a seamless wedding experience so your biggest moments not only feel unforgettable in the moment, but look incredible for years to come.

Do you work with other vendors?

Yes! While we have partnerships with Cufflink Media, we do not require you use them exclusively. You can always book us independently and we’ll ensure that all vendors are on the same page throughout the entire planning process and evening.

How do I secure my date?

We ask that when you are ready to book, you give us a signed contract and a $800 deposit. The initial deposit comes off the final balance. After that, you are locked in to your date. Payment plans are available, but we do not require the final balance until a week before your wedding.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. All prices you see include tax, set-up & tear-down, and travel to most places. When paying with credit card there is a 3.8% convenience fee. No fees when paying by check or cash.
