Choosing your wedding flowers can be a chore. You might fall in love with a flower only to find it isn’t in season for your wedding. And nothing’s worse than a droopy bouquet or petal-shedding centerpiece. To ensure your blossoms remain beautifully in bloom, we’ve highlighted five wedding flowers that are always in season:

Peruvian Lily (Alstroemeria):

Native to South America, Peruvian Lilies typically grow in large colonies across Chile and Argentina. This stunning flower grows in a variety of colors, including pink, orange, red, yellow, white and purple. They are also hearty and will still look lively up to two weeks after picking! Sprinkle a few of these freckled beauties in your bouquet to complement any wedding color scheme.

Carnation (Dianthus Caryophyllus):

These flowers may get a bad rap for being a “filler” flower, but their multitude of colors (white, red, orange, pink, purple, yellow and green) and dyeability make them perfect for any wedding bouquet or centerpiece. Native to the Mediterranean, these flowers bloom almost continuously, making them readily available for nuptials any time of the year.

Gardenias (Gardenia Jasminoides):

Gardenias are simple white blooms often found in perfumes due to their strong, sweet fragrance. They can add fragrance and dimension to your bridal bouquets or centerpieces next to brighter blossoms. Native to Eastern Asia (China, Thailand and Japan), these flowers are toxic to pets so make sure to keep them far from Fido.

Petunia (Petunia Atkinsiana):

Petunias are a popular wedding flower because they are easily grown and almost always in stock. They come in blue, orange, pink, purple, red, white yellow and multicolored varieties. Native to South America, there are 35 species of these flowers so you’re sure to find a shape or size you like!

Pansy (Viola Wittrockiana):

This large-flowered beauty calls back images of “Alice in Wonderland”‘s talking flowers and their unique shape is perfect for a wedding bouquet or centerpiece. A member of the violet genus, pansies come in yellow, gold, orange, purple, violet, red, white and even near-black.
