The Blue Heron Event Center is a beautiful wedding ceremony and reception venue located about 40 minutes south of downtown Cleveland in Medina. 

This picturesque event center can accommodate weddings large and small. The 6,000-square-foot grand ballroom can seat up to 450 guests seminar/theater-style or 400 banquet/roundtable-style. However, you can also divide the room (with a soundproof wall) to customize the space.

The 1,200-square-foot vaulted-ceiling lobby includes a stone fireplace and is a warm and welcoming place to receive guests or a cozy space for a smaller event. And all guests can enjoy the 1,500-square-foot patio, directly accessible from ballroom, that provides fantastic views of the beautiful natural scenery.

The entire facility is equipped with high-speed, wireless Internet, and Blue Heron provides audiovisual and IT equipment available upon request.

All couples meet with one of Blue Heron’s professional event planners who help you with every detail so you can enjoy your big day without worry. 

Blue Heron’s culinary team allows you to customize a unique and personal menu using fresh, local and seasonal ingredients. The team takes pride in its innovative food presentation (you’ll love the plating)! Start with a base menu for ideas and build your ideal meal!

Do I get to meet my DJ?

Of Course! This is your big day, we want you to be comfortable and able to build a rapport with your DJ. We encourage open communication between us and our clients. We can set-up face to face meetings, video calls, and teleconferences.

How do I secure my date?

We ask that when you are ready to book, you give us a signed contract and a $800 deposit. The initial deposit comes off the final balance. After that, you are locked in to your date. Payment plans are available, but we do not require the final balance until a week before your wedding.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. All prices you see include tax, set-up & tear-down, and travel to most places. When paying with credit card there is a 3.8% convenience fee. No fees when paying by check or cash.

Do you work with other vendors?

Yes! While we have partnerships with vendors, we do not require you use them exclusively. You can always book us independently and we’ll ensure that all vendors are on the same page throughout the entire planning process and evening.
