Join Sound Precision Entertainment (and our boutique partners Cuff Link PhotographyRed Frame Videography and Monocle Photo Booth) at the upcoming Today’s Bride show where you can interact with more than 150 Northeast Ohio wedding vendors to find exactly what you need for your big day. The event takes place Sunday, Jan. 12, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the John S. Knight Center in Akron. Be sure to stop by our booth to say hi!

We know a bridal show can be overwhelming, especially for first-timers, so take advantage of our years of experience with this list of dos and don’ts, which will ensure you have the best experience possible!

DO save time and money.

Purchase your tickets online ahead of time to save a significant amount of both time and money. General admission is $15 at the door or $12 online before the show. You can also purchase a four-pack of tickets for $30 (online only). Children ages 6 and younger are free.

However, if you plan to go to both the Akron and Cleveland shows, the 2020 show season pass is the best bang for your buck. The pass is valid for two people and grants admittance to the four Today’s Bride 2020 Wedding Shows: Jan. 12 in Akron, Jan. 25-26 in Cleveland, June 7 in Cleveland and Aug. 23 in Akron. Tickets are $40 and non-refundable.

DON’T go in blind.

The Akron show has more than 150 vendors, as well as displays and activities. You most likely won’t be able to see and experience all of them in one day. This is why it’s a good idea to do some research beforehand. If you already have some vendors in mind, check the exhibitor list to see if they’ll be there. List your must-see booths and cross them off as you visit them to ensure you hit each one.

DO arrive early.

With more than 150 vendors and thousands of attendees, the show can get pretty crowded. It’s unlikely you’ll be able to pop in at 3 p.m. and have a good experience. Plan to give yourself a few hours at the show to ensure you can see and experience everything. Also, give yourself time for a break if you need one. The fashion shows are a perfect place to get off your feet and enjoy yourself for a while before hitting the booths again!

DON’T put pressure on yourself.

You’re most likely not going to find everything you need at one show. But keep in mind that even if you don’t find a single vendor, at least you’ll have gotten some ideas and inspiration for what you want or do not want. And if you happen to forget something, don’t sweat it! You can always follow up with either the show or the vendor and get the information later.

DO bring a trusty sidekick.

Bridal shows are crowded, so you don’t want to cart your entire bridal party around. However, it is a good idea to bring a friend or two. These people can help you take pictures of cakes, dresses, table settings, etc. and jot down notes as you’re talking to vendors.

DON’T feel like you have to visit every booth.

If you start at the beginning and try to visit each vendor, you’ll waste your time and exhaust yourself. Focus on the booths you are most interested in. (You can speed up the process by bringing labels with your name, phone number, email address and physical address so you don’t waste time writing it out each time!)

Just in time for the Today’s Bridal Show, SPE is offering a fantastic bundle deal. Save up to $1,200 with four brands: Sound Precision Entertainment, Cuff Link Photograph, Red Frame Videography and Monocle Photo Booth. For more information, contact SPE at (216) 870-4513 or scott@spedj.com.

How do I secure my date?

We ask that when you are ready to book, you give us a signed contract and a $800 deposit. The initial deposit comes off the final balance. After that, you are locked in to your date. Payment plans are available, but we do not require the final balance until a week before your wedding.

No. All prices you see include tax, set-up & tear-down, and travel to most places. When paying with credit card there is a 3.8% convenience fee. No fees when paying by check or cash.

Do you work with other vendors?

Yes! While we have partnerships with vendors, we do not require you use them exclusively. You can always book us independently and we’ll ensure that all vendors are on the same page throughout the entire planning process and evening.
