For more than 30 years, Woodside Event Center at St. Michael’s has helped Northeast Ohio couples host their perfect wedding.
Located near both I-77 and the Ohio Turnpike in Broadview Heights, Woodside’s formal main banquet hall is 6,500 sq. ft. and can accommodate up to 400 guests. For more intimate events, the venue also offers a smaller, upper-level banquet hall. In addition, if you’re looking for a more cost-friendly option, Woodside has an 8,000 sq. ft. gymnasium on the lower level of the event center. This space can accommodate up to 500 guests for a more casual wedding reception.
Nestled in a beautiful wooded area, the newly renovated venue offers event planners who ensure you won’t miss a single detail as you prepare for your special day. All wedding packages include free parking, all taxes, glassware, standard linens, china, round tables, security, bartenders, beer, wash and cake serving.
Woodside offers full-service catering services through its exclusive caterer, Catering by Verba’s, to create your ideal wedding day meal. Chef Joe Verba and his son, Executive Chef Joey, continue a 75-year tradition of delicious family cooking.
In addition to serving as a wedding venue, Woodside also hosts business events, showers, reunions, craft fairs, fundraising events, sporting events, community garage sales and other events.
Woodside is owned by Archangel Michael Orthodox Church, and all profits go toward maintenance improvement of the church and venue.

Do I get to meet my DJ?

Of Course! This is your big day, we want you to be comfortable and able to build a rapport with your DJ. We encourage open communication between us and our clients. We can set-up face to face meetings, video calls, and teleconferences.

How do I secure my date?

We ask that when you are ready to book, you give us a signed contract and a $800 deposit. The initial deposit comes off the final balance. After that, you are locked in to your date. Payment plans are available, but we do not require the final balance until a week before your wedding.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. All prices you see include tax, set-up & tear-down, and travel to most places. When paying with credit card there is a 3.8% convenience fee. No fees when paying by check or cash.

Do you work with other vendors?

Yes! While we have partnerships with vendors, we do not require you use them exclusively. You can always book us independently and we’ll ensure that all vendors are on the same page throughout the entire planning process and evening.
