You may have been to The Agora for a performance or two in the past. However, what you might not realize is that the venue is not only a world-class concert hall but also a wedding venue perfect for music enthusiasts.
There are two main spaces. First, with a max capacity of 2,000 guests, The Agora Theatre features a tiered main floor, seated balcony, opera boxes and production capabilities. This area is perfect for concert and/or theater lovers and can bring a unique and fun atmosphere to your nuptials.
The Agora Ballroom, on the other hand, is a 500-capacity event space with its own stage, sound and lighting as well as the original neon sign that has become synonymous with The Agora name. The Agora Ballroom has been renovated from head-to-toe to create intimate concert and event experiences and is more similar to a traditional wedding venue.
Additionally, The Agora includes two lobbies and four fully furnished dressing rooms that can be used for the wedding party, as well as on-site parking, according to The Knot.
Marigold Catering + Events serves The Agora. The woman- and LGBTQ+-owned business has been operating for more than 20 years and provides personal attention to guide you through the event planning process.
Henry LoConti Sr. opened the first Agora in 1966 near Case Western Reserve University. In 1968, the venue opened the nation’s first in-house recording studio, producing many live albums. “Onstage at the Agora” became an internationally syndicated television show. The club moved two times since then and settled at its present Euclid Avenue location in 1984. Originally developed as a dance club for college students, it is now a renowned music venue breaking major new talent, according to Cleveland Historical.
