Michaud's Catering & Event Center in Strongsville has been a Cleveland staple since it opened in 1933 as a donut shop at West 96th Street and Lorain Avenue. Now an all-inclusive catering and banquet hall, Michaud's hosts everything from birthday parties and awards banquets to wedding ceremonies, receptions, rehearsal dinners and showers.
Now located on Pearl Road in Strongsville for the past 47 years, Michaud's has six different event rooms: The Grand Ballroom, Carlyle Room, Dubonnet Room, Holiday Room, Regency Room and Westin Room. These rooms can host everything from a small, intimate reception with 50 guests to a large, spacious event accommodating 2,000 people. Each room features a dance floor and permanent bar.
Couples may also host their ceremony on-site in the outdoor courtyard or indoor Clarion Room. The beautifully landscaped courtyard features stunning flowers, trees and bushes, as well as a gazebo, bench and bridge. The Clarion Room can be decorated to give the appearance of a chapel and includes a decorated arch. Both sites are available daily from 12 to 1 p.m. and 3 to 4 p.m. Michaud's provides 100 white chairs and a table for a unity candle or other ceremony items.
Michaud's rents glass globe centerpieces with clear or colored water and floating candles in assorted colors, or you may bring your own decorations. You can also rent mirrors to place under the centerpieces. The venue provides white, black or ivory crisp linen tablecloths and colored linen napkins for no charge, as well as a wide variety of colored overlays to rent.
