You may never see Evan Gandola, but if you use Red Frame Videography‘s services, he’ll be a huge part of your wedding memories.
Gandola is media producer and creative director of Red Frame Videography, a partner of Sound Precision Entertainment. His role is to oversee the creative process of Red Frame Videography by shooting and editing wedding and corporate videos. He also sometimes works as a DJ.
Gandola’s favorite part of working for Red Frame is operating the drone, which captures stunning aerial views of weddings and receptions.
“A drone is great for wedding videography because it allows for shots from a bird’s eye view, as well as angles that would otherwise be unobtainable,” he said. “It also captures fantastic establishing shots of ceremony and reception venues.”
Gandola is a Cleveland native and has a business degree from Baldwin Wallace University and a media arts and sciences degree from Cuyahoga Community College. Before coming to Red Frame, he worked on numerous short films and documentaries in the Cleveland area. Most notably, he served as a production assistant for Gordon Ramsay’s “Hotel Hell” Mansfield episode.
When Gandola isn’t behind his Canon C100 or DJI OSMO cameras, you can find him bike riding, watching crime documentaries and viewing films (His favorite directors are David Lynch, Quentin Tarantino and Paul Thomas Anderson). Recently, he has also been working on his chess and golf games.

What editing software do you use?
Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects and Ableton Live
What advice would you give to newlyweds?
Do not take the human emotion of love for granted. Don’t let whatever may be bringing you down in your professional life infiltrate your personal life. Your marriage should serve as a sanctuary when all else is going wrong in your life.
Where do you spend your time outside Red Frame?
I volunteer at the Berea Animal Rescue Foundation working with cats. I enjoy their easygoing, reserved nature. I get along with them very well. Some of my best friends are cats! I think they are the perfect animal for human companionship. I have two cats named Scout and Peach.
What is something people might not know about you?
I enjoy composing hip-hop music on my computer. I have always enjoyed hip-hop, but my interest piqued after a musician friend of mine introduced me to Ableton Live and beatmaking. My favorite part of hip-hop is the beat and precision. I also enjoy listening to rap in foreign languages, especially French and Portuguese. Human linguistics interests me, and listening to foreign rap can give you a better idea of what a language sounds like and how it operates.
If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you want with you?
Food, shelter and Internet access.
