The most popular wedding date of 2022 is … Oct. 22!<\/span><\/p>\n

According to\u00a0<\/span>The Knot Real Weddings Study<\/span>, about 90,000 U.S. couples married on this day in 2022. Addionally, October contains three of the top five most popular wedding dates of 2022, and 17% of all engaged couples married that month, The Knot reports.\u00a0<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

The top five wedding dates in 2022 were:<\/span><\/p>\n

  2. May 21, 2022<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. June 18, 2022<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Oct. 01, 2022<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Oct. 08, 2022<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Comparatively, the top five dates in 2022 were almost all in October:<\/span><\/p>\n

    1. Oct. 16, 2021<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. Oct. 23, 2021<\/span><\/li>\n
    3. Oct. 2, 2021<\/span><\/li>\n
    4. Oct. 9, 2021<\/span><\/li>\n
    5. Sept. 25, 2021 (so close!)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      So why is October so popular?<\/span><\/p>\n

      In recent months, it is most likely due to the pandemic, according to The Knot.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

      \u201cCase rates were relatively low, many people were vaccinated and outdoor weddings were possible,\u201d The Knot says.<\/span><\/p>\n

      However, fall has been the most popular season since 2015.<\/span><\/p>\n

      \u201cThe preference for fall weddings\u00a0may have something to do with the cooler, less-humid weather, making outdoor wedding venues that much more comfortable, as well as the popularity of fall foliage as a wedding photo backdrop,\u201d The Knot reports. \u201cUnlike the other seasons, fall also consists of fewer vacations, holidays and events, meaning fewer conflict opportunities for loved ones And because spring and summer are often thought of as peak season for travel and events, some venues and vendors may offer lower pricing later in October.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
