This tradition is meant to be fun and relaxing; however, it can get pricey.<\/p>\n<p>Depending on where the party is held, bridesmaids and groomsmen often need to consider travel expenses, attire, gifts, drinks and meals. And as inflation increases, so do these costs.<\/p>\n<p>On average, bachelor and bachelorette party guests spend $1,500 to attend their respective parties, according to a survey conducted by Savings.com. The discount website polled 500 recent bachelor and bachelorette party attendees and discovered this amount increased $100 since 2021.<br \/>And bad news for groomsmen: The survey found that bachelor party attendees spend 70% more than bachelorette party attendees.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis could be because fewer people are invited to bachelor parties \u2013 which means fewer guests to split the costs,\u201d according to Savings.com. \u201cAccording to our research, bachelor party attendees are also more likely to fly to the party\u2019s location, significantly raising the price tag. Lastly, bachelor parties tend to feature slightly more expensive activities than bachelorette bashes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Travel was the most significant expense for bachelor and bachelorette parties, with two out of three party guests flying to the most recent party they attended. People who flew internationally spent an average of $2,000 for their entire trip, compared to about $800 for those who did not travel by air, the survey found.<\/p>\n<p>But it also seems like guests are not exactly happy shelling out the cash.
