He incorporates the vision and wishes of the couple without telling them how their event should or should not be.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n For each event, as he goes through the process of getting ready, selecting his attire, loading his equipment and heading to the venue, he runs through a mental checklist to ensure he doesn\u2019t miss a detail.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n His comfort managing large events comes from years of experience and literally thousands of events.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWhen we first started, we would have notes or phrases written down on flash cards,\u201d he said. \u201cNow it\u2019s just become second nature. Standing up in front of a crowd is not something that bothers me.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n However, Terranova understands that not everyone is comfortable on the dance floor as he is (expect him to be out leading a line dance or starting a dance circle). To encourage guests to put on their dancing shoes, he\u2019ll often play a slow song, which often gets even the shyest people out of their seats. Then he follows with a party favorite, like \u201cShout\u201d by the Isley Brothers, to retain the crowd.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cSometimes it only takes one or two songs to break the ice and get people more comfortable,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n Terranova married his childhood sweetheart, Jill, in 2013.
