The 2019 fall wedding season is upon us, and at at Sound Precision Entertainment, we’ve already seen clients embracing the autumn vibe (and drank our fair share of pumpkin spice lattes). Fall is one of our favorite times of year, so we did some research into what will be hot in the next few months. Read on to discover our top 5 fall wedding trends for 2019:

 

1. Serving fall foods.

Fall is the perfect time to change up the classic wedding menu and add in some colder-weather treats. Popular fare includes soups, s’mores, caramel apples, hot chocolate, coffee and cider! Set up a self-serve “bar” at your reception for these autumn treats, or offer the hot beverages during a chilly outdoor ceremony to keep guests warm!

2. Going overboard with fall décor.

Fall brings some lovely decoration options. Think pumpkins, gourds, apples, string lights, leaves and fire pits. You can find many of these items cheaply at after-season sales, so shop at least a year ahead for the biggest discounts. And there’s no such thing as too much: Go big or go home!

3. Wearing layers.

As fall ushers in cooler temperatures, we typically layer up to stay warm. The same goes for your wedding attire. Two-piece gowns are all the rage, and a long-sleeved top (or even a cashmere sweater) can match your dress to the theme. If a sweater is too casual for you, consider changing into it for your reception as a more casual and comfortable look.

4. Utilizing jewel tones.

Fall wedding colors take inspiration from the outdoors with warm shades of yellow, orange, red and brown. You might also consider jewel tones, such as ruby, emerald and sapphire, which are popular in fashion right now. These richer shades are a bit darker than their pastel counterparts and provide a chic and elegant look to your wedding.

5. Incorporating velvet.

Velvet is big this fall. Add some autumn flair by selecting velvet bridesmaids dresses, chair ribbons or tablecloths or use velvet accents such as bouquet bows or favor bags. Velvet also lends a Gothic/Victorian vibe, perfect for a spooky, more Halloween-themed wedding.

Do I get to meet my DJ?

Of Course! This is your big day, we want you to be comfortable and able to build a rapport with your DJ. We encourage open communication between us and our clients. We can set-up face to face meetings, video calls, and teleconferences.

How do I secure my date?

We ask that when you are ready to book, you give us a signed contract and a $800 deposit. The initial deposit comes off the final balance. After that, you are locked in to your date. Payment plans are available, but we do not require the final balance until a week before your wedding.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. All prices you see include tax, set-up & tear-down, and travel to most places. When paying with credit card there is a 3.8% convenience fee. No fees when paying by check or cash.

Do you work with other vendors?

Yes! While we have partnerships with vendors, we do not require you use them exclusively. You can always book us independently and we’ll ensure that all vendors are on the same page throughout the entire planning process and evening.
