Your wedding day is one of the most special days of your whole life. This remained true for the Phillips couple, as they had quite an amazing wedding ceremony and reception! On behalf of everyone at Sound Precision Entertainment, we would like to wish Mr. and Mrs. Phillips a very happy One-Week Anniversary! The couple tied the knot on April 14, 2018.

The couple could not have asked for a better venue to hold their special day, as the newlyweds had their ceremony and reception at our favorite place to celebrate: the amazing Tudor Arms Hotel, located in Cleveland. The venue was a truly breathtaking sight to see after lighting was put up and the DJ Booth was set. With a wonderful setup and plenty of space to get down, it was time to get to the fun! Thanks to SPE’s awesome team of DJ’s, and songs you just can’t help but get up to get down to, the dance floor was full from beginning to end!

It truly was a breathtaking night, and especially one to remember for the Phillips couple! We would like to thank them for their hospitality, and for their graciousness throughout the whole night! We wish you both many years of pure joy, and the best of luck as you begin your lives together!

The Dos and Dont’s of Using a Photo Booth at Your Wedding

Photo booths are an absolute MUST at any wedding.

Not only do they entertain your guests throughout the reception, but they provide you with lasting memories that will tickle your funny bone for years to come.

Sound Precision Entertainment has its own photo booths and has learned the best practices throughout the years. Follow our dos and don’t of its use to ensure you get the most out of your photo booth.

DO your research prior to booking a photo booth.

Make sure the booth uses a high-quality camera and printer and that both you and your guests will receive copies of the strips. You also want to make sure you receive a USB drive and full digital rights to all the photos.

DON’T use a box booth.

Box photo booths can only hold so many people at one time and aren’t handicap accessible. Choose an open-air booth, which can fit as many people as you can get in the frame while still giving you that traditional photo booth feel!

DO encourage your guests to take photos.

Your photo booth strips are a great memory from your reception, and you should personally urge your guests to take photos. This way, when you’re flipping back through the photos, you can reminisce on everyone who attended your wedding (and have great blackmail photos on all of them!)!

DON’T place your photo booth in another room.

Remember: Nobody puts Baby in a corner! Sometimes, venues have side rooms that they suggest for your photo booth. However, this reduces the chances that your guests will remember to use it! You want to make sure the booth is in a location that is highly visible and easily accessible.

DO personalize your strips.

With Monocle Photo Booth, you can choose from three different backdrops or design your own. In addition, your photo strips feature your name and date for a personalized keepsake! These personal touches result in a great souvenir for both you and your guests.

DON’T spend all your time at the photo booth.

Yes, you should take pictures with your guests. However, don’t forget to enjoy the other aspects of your reception, as well! Eat, drink, socialize and dance the night away!

DO have your MC remind guest about the booth.

Even if your photo booth is front and center, your guests might still need a reminder to take their photos before the end of the night. Have you MC make announcements several times during the reception.

DON’T be offended if guests don’t take their prints.

There are bound to be some guests who forget to take their strips home. Remember that you’ll receive all the prints regardless of whether guests take theirs. You can always give them your favorites later!

The Average Cost of a Wedding

The bad news: The average cost of a wedding has increased in the last few years.

The worse news: That price hike is expected to continue.

In 2016, the latest year for which data is available, The Knot reported that the average cost of a wedding was $35,329. This is a increase of $2,688 from 2015’s cost of $32,641 and $4,116 from 2014’s cost of $31,213.

Remember, however, that this is that national average. The average in Columbus, Ohio, for example, is $27,059, while the average in New York City is $82,299.

The hefty price tag is attributed to couples’ desires for increasingly unique and personalized weddings that reflect their personal interests. This includes decor themed for a couple’s favorite movie, food truck rentals and even ballet performances.

However, if you find these figures alarming, you need not worry. There are ways to host an inexpensive wedding (Check out our blog on the Dos and Don’ts of Decorating Your Wedding Venue for some ideas). Once you’ve determined your budget, here is the breakdown for how much you should spend at various vendors (based on the national averages for wedding and vendor costs):

Average cost of venue: 45 percent of your budget
Average cost of photographer/videographer: 15 percent of your budget
Average cost of DJ: 10 percent of your budget
Average cost of florist: 8 percent
Average cost of dress: 4.5 percent of your budget
Average cost of limousine: 2.5 percent
Average cost of cake: 1.5 percent of your budget

The other 9 percent of your budget includes items such as invitations, favors, hair, makeup, tuxedo and other miscellaneous expenses.

One-Week Anniversary: Mr. & Mrs. Fragapane

Wow! That was our reaction this past weekend after this wonderful wedding! Mike and Angela had quite an amazing Saturday, as the couple tied the knot on October 28, 2017! All of us here at Sound Precision Entertainment would like to wish the couple a very happy One-Week Anniversary!

As said before, the wedding was simply wonderful, and really had so many “wow” moments! The first moment you may ask? The first steps we took walking into the Trinity Cathedral, as this was truly a stunning venue! Other “wow” moments happened all throughout the night, such as the enthusiasm of the guests, beautiful uplighting, and much more! The couple could not have asked for a better night, as everything was picture perfect for their special night!

We would like to thank the newlyweds for their overwhelming hospitality and kindness to us all throughout the night! We wish you to nothing but the best of luck as you begin your lives together as husband and wife!

One-Week Anniversary: Mr. & Mrs. Bramson

There are many special days in a person’s life in which the memories you make last a lifetime. This remained true for Matt and Kell Bramson, as they celebrated their wedding last weekend. A day full of tears, happiness, and overwhelm, was all worth it for the happy couple. Sound Precision Entertainment is so glad to wish Mr. and Mrs. Bramson a very happy One-Week Anniversary, as the couple tied the knot October 14, 2017!

The day started off so special for the couple, as they said their vows and had their kiss. As the day continued, it was finally time to get the party started and shake it off with family and friends!

The reception held at SPE’s favorite Rusty Nautical themed venue: The Music Box Supper Club was the perfect place to get the party started! With its modern structure and beautiful scenery created by the view, this was the perfect place to celebrate the Bramson wedding! Thanks to a little help from SPE’s energetic team of DJ’s, the party was pumping on and on all night! The guests danced along and made the night a memorable one, as it truly ended up being a special night throughout.

We would like to thank the Bramson couple, as they were nothing but gracious and made us feel apart of the family all night! We wish them the best of luck as they begin their lives together, and hope they continue their happiness for years to come!

Your wedding day is one of the most special days in your whole life. This remained true for the Duerk couple, as they had one heck of a wedding celebration! On behalf of everyone at Sound Precision Entertainment, we would like to wish Mr. and Mrs. Bossinas a very happy One-Week Anniversary! The couple tied the knot on October 7, 2017.

The couple could not have asked for a more beautiful venue to celebrate their special day, as the newlyweds celebrated their reception at the beautiful Bertrum Inn, located in Aurora, Ohio. After the first dances were had and tears of joy were shed from speeches, it was just about time to get the party started!

The venue was a truly breathtaking site to see. With a wonderful setup and plenty of space to get down, it was time to get to the fun! Thanks to SPE’s team of DJ’s, and songs you just can’t help but dance too, the dance floor was full from beginning to end!

The Saffell couple had an amazing wedding day on October 7, 2017! A day filled with laughs, happy tears, and many people who were ready to dance! After the couple had their kiss and said their vows, it was time to party! Sound Precision Entertainment would like to wish the couple a very happy One-Week Anniversary! As a “Cinderella” themed wedding, the night truly was magical!

The reception was held at the vintage but beautiful Ariel International Center, where the party lasted all night long to celebrate the newlyweds! The dance floor was truly never empty, as many guests were up dancing to celebrate the marriage of the Saffell’s. Of course, the night was nothing short of magical for the newlyweds, and us here at SPE wish nothing but the best for the new couple!

While every wedding we DJ for at Sound Precision Entertainment is special to us in many different ways, Nick and Rachel Angiocchi’s wedding was one we won’t soon forget! The reason? Nick has been a DJ with SPE the past six years, and it was truly special to DJ his wedding for him. All of us here at SPE want to wish Nick and Rachel a very happy and special One-Week Anniversary, as the couple tied the knot October 7, 2017!

It was a truly special night for everyone involved, as we wanted to party hard with one of SPE’s best all night! For Nick and Rachel, the newlyweds could not have asked for a better venue to celebrate their wedding! The Crowne Plaza Hotel, located in Cleveland, was especially beautiful that night for the Angiocchi’s special day. Thanks to gorgeous uplighting of baby blue colors, the scene was set and ready for a fun night!

The couple could not have been more ready to celebrate their wedding, as they (along with guests) danced all night long to the best hits! However, like all fun nights, this one had to come to an end as the night grew old.

We truly wish the best for the Angiocchi’s as they begin their lives together as a married couple. We thank Nick for his six-plus years of stellar DJ work, and for being one of SPE’s finest. Enjoy your lives together, and remember to love each other more and more each and every day!

One-Week Anniversary: Mr. & Mrs. Boyer

As a Wedding DJ company, Sound Precision Entertainment has seen many wonderful couples through the years. While every couple is special, Alyssa and Kurt Boyer had a connection that was truly prominent! All of us here at SPE are elated to wish Mr. and Mrs. Boyer a very happy One-Week Anniversary! The couple tied the knot on September 23, 2017.

The reception was held at the beautiful Springvale Golf Course, located in North Olmstead. This venue is one of SPE’s favorite to DJ at, and this night was no different! After introductions, cake cutting, and family dances, it was finally time to get the party rolling! As the clock hit 8, and the party music came on, the dance floor filled up with 286 guests ready to celebrate!

From start to finish, the dance floor was full of guests ready to get their dance on, as they did not disappoint in making the night a fun and exciting one! However, like many great things, the night had to come to a close. While a collective groan came from the crowd as the music had to stop, the guests knew they had an amazing night from beginning to end!

The night was special for everyone involved, and we would like to thank the Boyer’s for making us apart of their family for the night! Our jobs were much easier thanks to your hospitality and graciousness, and we could not appreciate it more! We wish nothing but the best of luck for Mr. and Mrs. Boyer, as they begin their lives together as husband and wife!
