Lead DJ and Emcee Alyssa Watson not only juggles multiple gigs – she’s also a professional juggler!

“I have experience juggling balls, rings, pins and doing Diablo, devil sticks and poi as well!” the Wisconsin native says.

Watson is comfortable both in and out of the spotlight as she can slide effortlessly from performing a juggling routine to mixing tunes behind the DJ booth. She started in the business about 11 years ago and has been DJing consistently for about six years now.

“I would see so many guys behind the board just making so many people dance and break through their shells, and I wanted to be that person!” she says. “I also wanted to help diversify the industry by being a younger female behind the board!”

Being a woman in a male-dominated industry hasn’t stopped Watson from rocking the mic. She says she is a jack of all trades – capable of playing any style or genre and killing it!

“My specialty is 2010-2017 mainstream and hip hop, but I also specialize in classic rock (70s-90s) and enjoy country and many other styles of music!” she says. “As far as personality, I’m super bubbly, just that fun, upbeat, always-dancing DJ!”

Watson says her favorite part of the job is seeing the smiles at the end of the night and getting hugs and high-fives thanking her for making a memorable night. And she absolutely loves a couples’ first dance.

“Seeing the love, and commitment and being honored to introduce them for the first time dancing as husband and wife is honestly a beautiful moment,” she says.

When Watson isn’t DJing (or juggling) she works as an operations manager and teaches dance. She also cleans aviaries and fish tanks at local nursing homes (we told you she was busy!)

However, her favorite job is being a mom to her 2-year-old.

“I don’t have much free time, but when I do, I spend it with my family!” she says. “I love going places and spending time with my fiancé and my little boy! My son inspires me to be the best version of myself. He loves music and dancing, and I love being able to offer him happiness in both areas!

Lead DJ/Emcee Josh Booth is a veteran DJ. This will be his 20th year in the industry, although he says he kind of fell into it.

“I’ve always loved music, and, as a kid, I would make tapes from the radio,” he said. “I would buy CDs with all my money and play music on the stereo and make mix tapes. I also played my parents’ records on our home stereo and would bring my CDs anytime I would hang out with friends.”

Booth’s first “official” DJ gig was a 50th birthday party for a fellow parishioner at his church. When he attended college (he earned a bachelor’s degree in broadcast communications from Baldwin-Wallace University), he started to take more interest in DJing.

“At college parties, we would have have the computer playing music, and, eventually, I would get behind the bar and start crafting the playlist for each party. Then organizations would ask if I would DJ, and I started buying equipment. I got connected with a local community center that was having a weekly activity night, and that’s what launched my DJ career.”
The first wedding Booth DJed was his brother’s, where he also served as best man.

“My love of music, all kinds of music, is what got me into DJing,” he said. “I thrive on weddings where the playlist is not ‘normal.’ Some of my favorite events were ones where I didn’t understand one word of the music!”

When Booth isn’t DJing for Sound Precision Entertainment, he manages the day-to-day operations for a cluster of radio stations. He serves as the music director 95.5 The Fish, scheduling the daily music logs.
A lifelong Northeast Ohioan, Booth grew up in North Lima, a suburb of Youngstown. He currently resides in Alliance with is wife of 10 years and three kids, as well as their energetic sheepadoodle.

With Logan Patrick as your DJ, you get someone who is the biggest fan of your party but can also guide it from beginning to end. You get a mix of passion and energy with professionalism and attention to detail. 

“When I am your DJ, you get someone who is dedicated to making your special day unforgettable,” he said. 

Sound Precision Entertainment’s clients have said Patrick has a unique ability to blend tracks to create a unique sound. 

“I love when I play a remix of a crowd favorite that clearly no one has heard before and everyone loses their minds when the beat drops,” he said. 

Since starting with SPE, the Pennsylvania native says he has expanded his song library and now finds himself effortlessly mixing between genres to make sure guests hear their favorite tunes. 

However, one song Patrick can always be trusted to play at a wedding is “Never Change” by Don Diablo. 

One of Patrick’s biggest music influences is Daft Punk, who he says changed the way he thought music could sound and expanded his musical horizon. However, he would love to work behind the booth with Dutch DJ Tiesto.

Karyn Adams’ friends would describe her as loud, wild and confident, which are coincidentally also the qualities necessary for a good DJ.

“My emcee style is all about letting the music do the talking,” she said. “I am a gentle guide for the night. I play host and announcer and lover of parties. But the music is doing all the hard work. I like to keep it smooth and flowing.”

Adams matches the energy of the night – from wild dancing and sing-along songs to slow and meaningful first dances.

“I like the music to match the ebb and flow,” she said. “I like a smooth transition and for those to continue all night long – not only between songs but between moods as well. An effortless roll into a slow song and an energetic emergence back into dancing. I believe that people only wanna have fun. I feel the same way so let’s party together!”

Sound Precision Entertainment has received stellar feedback on Adams, with many clients saying she is fun and has a lot of energy.

“I try to engage the audience as much as possible,” she said. “I want everyone to have a great time so I show that I’m having one too, and it’s an open invitation to join in.”

As Adams has grown in her DJ abilities, she has become more confident in her mixes.
“I went from playing it safe with popular music to choosing music that I think will surprise and delight,” she said. “I want to create the perfect atmosphere for a party – even for the slow and romantic parts. I am here to help in any way I can and make it the best night ever.”
Adams said she is heavily influenced by musical theatre, so some of her biggest influences are Broadway shows. Her favorite performer is Julie Andrews, who instilled in her a love of performance, art, singing and music.

But that’s not to say Adams doesn’t enjoy and appreciate other genres. In fact, the one song she can always be trusted to play at a wedding is “Fireball” by Pitbull, and she would love to DJ with Kesha.
“She puts on a wicked performance, and I’d love to feel that kind of energy up close!” she said.

When asked what three words his friends would use to describe him, Matt Hribar, lead Sound Precision Entertainment DJ, said, “Passionate. Funny. The Moment. Incredible … Oh, wait, is this too many words?”

If that quote doesn’t describe Hribar, we don’t know what does.

“My normal type of emcee style is pure fun!” Hribar said. “It’s almost like we’re filming a reality show and I’m the host! The event and personnel also depend on the style I create. I pride myself on being adaptable.”

Hribar is high-energy and knows how to get a party started. However, he can also tend to the needs of a more conservative crowd, if necessary.

“I’m interactive, willing to start the party but not be the center of it (unless you want me to be)!” he said. “I’ve found that I’m able to balance the needs of a crowd and the vast majority of guests are happy with the music choice (which is difficult to do, usually some demographic of a wedding can be hard to please).”

And Hribar has learned a thing or two in his years DJing. He said he used to be MUCH more rambunctious (which we don’t think is possible). While still boisterous, Hribar said he has become more contained and focused while also growing his mixing skills.

His top music influences include Susanne Sundfør, Norwegian pop artist and composer, Lady Gaga, The Killers, Florence and the Machine and DJ and producer Alison Wonderland.

Terranova works hard to make each wedding unique and understands it is not a cookie cutter experience. He incorporates the vision and wishes of the couple without telling them how their event should or should not be. 

For each event, as he goes through the process of getting ready, selecting his attire, loading his equipment and heading to the venue, he runs through a mental checklist to ensure he doesn’t miss a detail. 

His comfort managing large events comes from years of experience and literally thousands of events.

“When we first started, we would have notes or phrases written down on flash cards,” he said. “Now it’s just become second nature. Standing up in front of a crowd is not something that bothers me.”

However, Terranova understands that not everyone is comfortable on the dance floor as he is (expect him to be out leading a line dance or starting a dance circle). To encourage guests to put on their dancing shoes, he’ll often play a slow song, which often gets even the shyest people out of their seats. Then he follows with a party favorite, like “Shout” by the Isley Brothers, to retain the crowd.  

“Sometimes it only takes one or two songs to break the ice and get people more comfortable,” he said.

Terranova married his childhood sweetheart, Jill, in 2013. They have two children, Gianna, 3, and Daniel, 1. 

Sound Precision Entertainment DJ Dan Luzniak spends most of his time behind the DJ booth and therefore out of the spotlight, but he’s definitely a person worth getting to know.

With more tattoos than even he can count, Luzniak, nicknamed Luz, is a loyal Browns fan and dog lover. 

He came to SPE after DJing both clubs and shows. 

“I got into it because of my love of music,” Luz said. “It’s been great being able to incorporate that into a job that I love.” 

The Cleveland native’s favorite part of the job, however, is seeing the crowd enjoying the music and the dance floor packed. 

“My favorite song to play is ‘Cupid Shuffle’ because it usually brings everyone out to the dance floor and gets them moving,” he said. 

When Luz isn’t DJing, he is busy managing Black Moon Ink, the tattoo parlor he co-owns in Cuyahoga Falls. The shop has been open since October. 

“A friend of mine is a tattoo artist and wanted to open up her own shop so I decided to help her out,” he explains. 

Luz has a lot of ink of his own, but his favorite is a tattoo of Groot and Rocket from “Guardians of the Galaxy” on his leg. 

He also enjoys watching football and hanging out with his dog, Bear.
