Scott Terranova is not only the owner and CEO of Sound Precision Entertainment – he’s also one of our company’s lead DJs.

With Terranova behind the mic, clients receive high energy, unsurpassed professionalism and a dedication to customer service.

“My mindset going in is always how can I make this wedding as amazing as possible for the client,” he said. “Basically, I want to deliver the best experience I can.”

SPE’s clients agree that Terranova delivers a fantastic experience with one recent review saying, “Scott did a great job of ensuring our guests had a good time. He’s a natural behind the mic, and though his quick wit encourages everyone to have fun, he understands he’s not the star of the show.”

Terranova works hard to make each wedding unique and understands it is not a cookie cutter experience. He incorporates the vision and wishes of the couple without telling them how their event should or should not be.

For each event, as he goes through the process of getting ready, selecting his attire, loading his equipment and heading to the venue, he runs through a mental checklist to ensure he doesn’t miss a detail.

His comfort managing large events comes from years of experience and literally thousands of events.

“When we first started, we would have notes or phrases written down on flash cards,” he said. “Now it’s just become second nature. Standing up in front of a crowd is not something that bothers me.”

However, Terranova understands that not everyone is comfortable on the dance floor as he is (expect him to be out leading a line dance or starting a dance circle). To encourage guests to put on their dancing shoes, he’ll often play a slow song, which often gets even the shyest people out of their seats. Then he follows with a party favorite, like “Shout” by the Isley Brothers, to retain the crowd.

“Sometimes it only takes one or two songs to break the ice and get people more comfortable,” he said.

Terranova married his childhood sweetheart, Jill, in 2013. They have two children, Gianna, 3, and Daniel, 1.
